OUR VILLAGE ROUND TABLE

The Wichita Urban Professionals (ICT-UP) is an auxiliary of the Urban League of Kansas. ICT-UP is dedicated to empowering the young, diverse and talented. The organization involves members ages 21-40 in engaging and relevant personal development coaching, professional development trainings and dynamic social networking events.

 

Organizational Mission: To develop a network of rising leaders to improve the quality of life in the urban communities of Wichita.

 

Wichita Urban Professionals began in October 2013. The organization has since grown into the premiere organization for Wichita’s young, diverse and talented.

 

ICT-UP helps the community by exposing professionals of color to leadership opportunities that have a direct impact on the communities that we live in and are engaged with. They also help the community by using our bi-monthly publication, Urban Magnate to highlight projects and people that might not usually get recognition.

 

ICT-UP plans to continue to be the voice for professionals of color in the Wichita area. They also plan to help spur more diversity by bringing more of our voices to the table and being engaged in a deeper level in conversations surrounding all areas of the Wichita community specifically entrepreneurship and innovation.

 

 

How can the community support your efforts? “The community has been a great champion for us thus far. We hope to continue to provide quality experiences” with the hope “that the community takes advantages of some of the programming we plan on providing in the future,” says President Jonathan Long.   “Donations also help as well!”
